Literature Text

We sat and watched the storm,
Rumble along quickly like a train.
And then, there it was, a rainbow!
We looked at it for a long time.
But we could not stay there forever,
The hour eventually came for us to leave.

And we were back to real life, wishing to leave,
Because the rage of the storm
Seemed like forever.
We wanted to board the train
And escape for a time
In the great big glory of a rainbow.

Oh, the vivid colors of a rainbow!
It makes you wish the shade would leave
Along with the hovering time.
Yet the storm
Will always rage on, like an everlasting train:
Everlasting, ever travelling, forever.

Our love of forever
Seeing that rainbow.
We wanted so badly to board that train,
And of this depth take leave
To escape a bright dark storm.
However, it is watching us, that time.

Everything is speeding up, I can't stop time,
It seems like forever
Is getting shorter, thanks to the storm.
The rainbow!
It's farther away as we leave.
It is here, the train.

The tracks lead older, oh the train!
We are the passengers this time,
As our young colors leave,
Disappear forever.
Wait! There it is, the rainbow!
Ahead of us, past the storm!

Yes, it is time to leave our make-believe forever,
And eagerly board the train. For there is still so much time.
The rainbow is still here, patiently waiting out the end of the storm.
This is a poem I wrote for my sister for her birthday! :D

I am confident that she will not see this before I give it to her, as she never is on dA. Even if she does, I'm giving it to her tomorrow anyways so it hardly matters.

And I am aware that the title of this poem sounds like an acid trip. XD

Heh. Soo...What's it supposed to be about? (by the way, this fulfils the "rainbow" theme of the 100 theme challenge. ^_^
